Troublemaker Style.....

How does this work you ask?
Exactly like a Chinese Gift Exchange
How To Play
There’s nothing gender-specific about it, but since at the parties
where we do this the women usually outnumber the men,
I’ll use the words “she” and “her”.
The rules go something like this:
- Everybody
brings one $5.00 gift, wrapped. It should be bought new for the
occasion. It should not be fancy or expensive, but it should not be just
plain junk either.
- It
should represent who you are OR where20you are from.
- E.g.
Mary from Buffalo brings a buffalo bills hat;
Beth from Canada brings a bottle of Canadian
beer..... lol
- Pile
all the gifts in one place
- Everyone
who participates is expected to stay all the way to the end
- VALUE
Of Gift should be no more than $ 5.00 Per
player
- Check
that the number of gifts at least equals the number of participants;
it’s a bummer if there’s nothing for the last person.
Prepare a set of numbered slips, folded and put in a bowl or hat; when
you are ready to start everyone takes a number.
- The
person who drew number 1 takes a gift from the pile, and sits down with
the gift in plain sight, generally on her lap.
- Then
“2″ then takes a gift from the pile. Then 2 sits down with
the gift displayed. and so one
- Everyone
has to take a gift from the pile first so all gifts have been chosen
- Once
all gifts have been chosen, the person who went first gets to either
take a gift from another person’s lap or
keep the one they have
- #2
then gets to keep their gift or take another person’s
gift from their lap, replacing with theirs.
- This
"stealing, exchanging or taking" of gifts goes around the
group 2 or 3 times. On the next swing around, everyone then opens their
gift one at a time. Going through the motion of ahhh's
and ewwww's.
This provides lots of
laughs and fun fighting over a gift that you have no clue
whats in it......
